Dear Members of the WACBE,

First, I would like to extend my warmest greetings to all members to have fruitful, healthy and prosperous Chinese New Year “Pig”. Second, the get-together event, 2019 WACBE Congress, is going to be held in Taipei in August 2019 hosted by Prof Jaw-Ling Wang. It will be a great opportunity for us to exchange the leading biomedical research findings, stimulate the ideas for biomedical innovation, promote the biomedical device development, enhance our friendship, and make new friends.

The WACBE family keeps growing to be one of the largest Chinese research groups in bioengineering. The WeChat groups, WACBE Member and WACBE Council, have served as a platform to provide varieties of updated bioengineering information for real-time communication and interaction among all members. If you have not joined, welcome to join WACBE Member group. Meanwhile, Prof ZHENG Yongping, WACBE Secretary, also work hard to design the new WACBE webpage to cover more valuable information and functions. It will serve our society soon.

The innovative bioengineering technologies for healthcare are being rapidly developed around the world. The scientifically pioneering research will inspire the biomedical innovations to benefit the healthcare, especially in ageing society. The 2019 WACBE Congress will provide great opportunities for us to discuss the promotion and collaboration in cultivating the future bioengineering talents, encouraging innovation and startup, and bridging the academia-industry collaboration.

Finally, I would like express sincere appreciation to all of you for your contributions, support and valuable suggestions to the WACBE.
